Outdoor Photoshoots for Families and Kids

When we step out of the studio, we are working with nature, not against it. My outdoor sessions in Mumbai are designed to be fluid and relaxed. We typically aim for the golden hour, early in the morning or late in the afternoon, to get that soft, flattering light that makes skin tones glow and greenery look vibrant.

Why Go Outdoors?

Some children find studio lights and unfamiliar backgrounds intimidating. In a park or on a beach, they have space to run, pick up sticks, or chase bubbles. This natural movement is exactly what I look for. You will not find me asking your child to sit perfectly still and smile for the camera. I prefer to let them be themselves, whether that means running wild, sitting quietly with a favourite toy, or just exploring the textures around them.

Handling the Variables

Working outdoors means embracing the elements. I have learned to work with the weather, even when the rain gods decide to join in. If the light shifts or a toddler gets tired, we pivot. These sessions are about capturing your family's dynamic in its natural habitat, which is why I keep the process simple. We focus on interaction, play, and connection rather than complex posing.

We can pick a location that holds meaning for your family, or I can suggest some of my favorite quiet spots around Mumbai. Since we are moving around, I recommend wearing comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting a little grass on.
