When I sit down to work in my studio, I am not just creating a gift. I am trying to capture a feeling. Whether it is a crochet flower that will never wilt or a coffee-stained letter with a wax seal, these items are my way of processing emotions. I get messages from people all over the world, from Australia to Switzerland, who want to send a hug in the form of a package. That is the real magic of this small business. I handle every single step myself, from the first sketch or stitch to the final box tape. It is chaotic, yes, and sometimes I have no clue what I am doing, but it is real.
