This is the piece that started it all, my own hand-painted lehenga for my Sangeet. I combined the swirling energy of Van Gogh's "Starry Night" with the warmth of a sunset, creating a piece of wearable art that felt completely me.
For my engagement, I wanted my lehenga to tell our story. I created custom digital illustrations of our special moments, which were then hand-embroidered onto deep blue velvet, turning the fabric into a galaxy of our memories.
Here’s a look at how my Van Gogh inspired lehenga came to life. I chose to dye the fabric first, a nerve-wracking but essential step to keep the material soft and flowy before I began hand-painting the details.

When I work on a garment, I do not just paint. I dye the fabric first to keep it flowy and soft, ensuring the art moves with you instead of sitting stiff on the cloth. Every stroke is intentional, and I promise you will never see a single AI generated pixel in anything I make, just real hands and real stories.
