Hand-Painted Bridal Lehengas That Tell Your Story
Your wedding outfit shouldn't just look pretty, it should feel like you. I paint custom bridal lehengas and sarees on high-grade fabrics, making sure every stroke matches your personality.
The final look of my Van Gogh inspired Sangeet lehenga. It stands as a testament to how we can turn a classic piece of art into personal, wearable fashion for your most important days.
Painting was my moment of calm amidst all the wedding chaos. This video shows the meditative process of adding color and detail to the fabric, a labor of love that made the final piece even more special.
A closer look at the vibrant colors and textures. I use high-quality acrylics to build layers of color, ensuring the design is both durable and rich in detail, just like a painting on canvas but made to be worn.
Here I am, lost in the process of painting a sunflower field against a sunset, bringing the vision for my lehenga to life stroke by stroke on an easel in my balcony.
A quiet moment with my creation. The finished lehenga captures the beautiful swirls of a starry night and the warm gradient of a sunset, all hand-painted.
Posing with my finished artwork. This custom painted lehenga is a perfect example of how we can incorporate your favorite artist, color palette, or theme into a stunning piece of bridal wear.
About this collection
Creating a hand-painted bridal piece is a 4-8 week journey that starts with a one-hour chat to define your theme and story. I source high-grade raw silk or organza, custom dye the fabric to your preferred gradient, and then hand-paint, layer, and heat-set the design. This ensures the garment remains soft, flowy, and durable enough to handle your Sangeet or Mehendi, without that stiff, crunchy feeling of traditional paint.
I don't believe in fast fashion or generic designs. Every bridal lehenga or saree I paint is a one-of-a-kind piece, born from your memories and my sketchbook.
My Process
- Consultation: We start by talking about your vibe. Whether you want Van Gogh-inspired swirls, pichwai art, or a simple floral gradient, we need to make sure the concept hits right before I touch the fabric.
- Design: I sketch the layout digitally on Procreate so you can see the placement of the motifs on the lehenga panels before we commit.
- Painting: I use professional-grade fabric acrylics. The process is slow and meditative. I apply the paint in layers, using fine-brush linework and shimmer accents to give the fabric depth.
- Protection: Because these outfits are meant to be worn and danced in, I apply a flexible, industrial-strength heat-seal and varnish coating. This keeps the paint from cracking while you move.
Care Instructions Since this is wearable art, it needs a little love. I always provide specific wash-care guidelines—usually cold hand washes and reverse ironing—to ensure your piece stays vibrant for years to come. If you have an idea in mind, let’s talk.
