About The Next Generation: Our Young Champions
We do not run formal, rigid training camps for kids. Instead, we plug young riders into our existing community where they learn by riding with experienced cyclists. Whether it is mastering cadence on a climb, learning how to track stats on Strava, or maintaining focus during a long road race, juniors pick up technique and safety habits naturally during our weekend group rides.
Seeing young members like Kumari Parinita or Master Lahar S S hit 25,000 km or win medals at MTB State Championships does not happen by accident. It comes from consistent, community-backed riding. We believe the best way for a young rider to improve is to be surrounded by people who have already done the miles.
How Our Mentorship Works
- Peer-to-Peer Learning: Our juniors ride alongside adults, learning how to handle gear, pace themselves, and navigate traffic safely. They watch, they learn, and they ride.
- Goal Setting: We encourage our young riders to set tangible goals, whether it is a specific distance on Strava or participating in a race like the Turahalli (T13) road race.
- Preparation: From warming up on rollers to understanding nutrition, we share the practical tips needed to compete. It is not just about the race day; it is about the preparation that happens weeks before.
- Community Support: We are a family. If a young rider is struggling on a climb or nervous before an event, there is always a senior rider nearby to offer encouragement and technical help.
We focus on fostering a lifelong passion for the sport, not just chasing quick medals. We want every young rider to enjoy madi (enjoy), learn resilience, and feel like they have a home in our Namma Club Team.
