About The Whole Family
If you are bringing a toddler or young child along, I always recommend scheduling your session for the morning when they are most energetic. We do not stick to a rigid, clock-ticking schedule; if your little one needs a snack break or a few minutes to explore the studio, we take it. My goal is to capture genuine smiles, not forced ones, so we play, interact, and let the moment unfold naturally.
When we plan a maternity session involving the whole family, the focus shifts from a solo portrait to capturing the dynamic between you all. Whether we are in my Navi Mumbai studio or at a scenic location like a park in Vashi or the beaches of Uran, the goal remains the same: real interaction.
I often see parents worry that their older children won't cooperate for a 'photo shoot.' My approach is to turn the session into an activity. If we are in the studio, we use the golden swing or props to engage them. If we are outdoors, we walk, we talk, and we keep the pace moving. This prevents that stiff, forced look that happens when kids are told to 'sit and smile' for too long.
For partners, I look for those small, often overlooked moments—a hand on a shoulder, a shared look, or simply standing together as a unit. You don't need to be a professional model to get beautiful photos. My job is to guide you into comfortable positions that feel natural for your relationship. Whether you choose a formal gown setup or a relaxed, casual session with jeans and t-shirts, the most important element is the connection between the people in the frame. I am here to document the love that is already there, waiting for the new arrival.
