I started Swã to bring the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda back into our daily beauty rituals. It is not just about a salon experience; it is about reclaiming the healthy, chemical-free care our ancestors once relied on.

In this conversation, I explain the 'why' behind Swã. After living abroad, I saw a gap for a truly Ayurvedic salon in India and wanted to create a space that offers 'Botox through Ayurveda', focusing on long term skin health, not just a temporary glow.

This interview captures the essence of my mission. I discuss how our ancestors maintained their beauty with natural ingredients like turmeric and fenugreek, and how Swã brings this timeless wisdom into a modern salon setting for lasting skin health.

Our goal is to address the root causes of fatigue and stress. We do this by combining modern Ayurvedic wellness with ancient solutions to help you unlock your full potential.

I am Gayathri Kumar, the founder of Swã. I started this journey to bring back the true meaning of wellness, where beauty is a reflection of your inner health. Swã means 'to meet myself', and that is the experience I want to offer you.

My vision for Swã has always been to create an iconic brand where luxury meets holistic wellness. I want this to be a memorable, bespoke experience for you to indulge in pure and healthy beauty.

The Swã logo itself tells a story. It emerged from the concept of 'Her', representing the divine feminine energy and strength that is at the core of our brand.

The EmpowHERing. Our mission is to help you embrace your inner goddess by creating time and space for healing, balancing your energy, and rediscovering your strength.

Our logo is full of meaning. The 'S' for the spirit of a woman, the trident for empowerment, and the dot for focus. It represents our entire philosophy in one symbol.

About Our Founder's Vision

When I returned to Bangalore after twenty years, I realized our salons were missing the healing power of Ayurveda. At Swã, we do not just apply products for a temporary glow. We use therapeutic, plant-based oils to lubricate, hydrate, and build skin shakti from within. This is my 'Botox through Ayurveda'. It is a process that asks for patience but delivers lasting health, without a single injection or synthetic chemical.
