Inspired by the powerful film Kantara, this is a six-minute live art performance. I enjoy bringing culturally significant themes to life on canvas, creating a performance that resonates deeply with the audience.
This 15-minute live painting performance for Vijaya Enterprises, done alongside the talented Kalaagni The Band, shows how music and art can create an electric atmosphere. I painted a double portrait, capturing the essence of the event's honorees.
Live performances can be unpredictable. Here, the easel stand gave way, but the show must go on. I managed to control the canvas and finish the portrait in time, showing my ability to adapt under pressure.
The process begins. Here I am on stage, laying down the initial outlines for a portrait of Puneeth Rajkumar. This is the quietest moment before the energy builds.

My speed painting act is designed for impact, turning a blank canvas into a finished portrait in just 7 to 15 minutes. Whether it is an award ceremony or a cultural fest, I work with high-contrast, heavy-body acrylics that ensure the image is visible from the back of the room, keeping the energy high and the audience engaged throughout the entire performance.
I do not just paint; I put on a show. When I step on stage, the goal is to captivate the audience from the first brushstroke. Sometimes, I paint upside down for a dramatic reveal, which always gets a reaction when I finally flip the canvas to show the finished piece. It is a high-energy act that pairs perfectly with live music bands or as a special segment during a keynote speech or award distribution.
How It Works
- Setup: I arrive early for sound and stage checks. I bring my own easel, drop cloths to keep your floor clean, and all necessary materials. You just need to provide a clear space with decent lighting.
- The Subject: We can discuss what to paint beforehand. I can do portraits of your company CEO, a guest of honor, or thematic pieces like the one I did for the Kantara film tribute.
- The Timing: 7 to 15 minutes is the sweet spot. It is long enough to build suspense and excitement, but short enough to keep everyone's attention locked on the canvas until the very end.
