My Story & Styling Philosophy
Styling is more than just clothes; it is the story you tell every time you step out. I am Manya, and this is my approach to fashion education and personal transformation.
A little bit about me. This graphic shares my work experience, education, and my philosophy that there is always a story to tell when styling, whether it's for a wardrobe, hair, or makeup.
Hello, I'm Manya! I started my journey as a style educator to open the gates for fashion enthusiasts and share the knowledge I've gained working in the media and advertising industry.
As a trainer, consultant, and stylist, my goal is to help you find your unique voice. Here I am in my element, working with a color wheel to plan out looks.
Creativity is the dance of the mind when it's set free. I love the process of bringing a vision to life, like draping and pinning this floral dress on a mannequin to get the perfect silhouette.
What is styling? In this video, I answer that simple question. It's a creative and continuous process of working with different elements, from colors to body types, to create a unique look for a client.
As an Image Consultant and Etiquette Coach, I work with individuals to help them feel confident. It's not just about the clothes, but about empowering you to understand how to present your best self.
My mission at the School of Styling is to nurture aspiring stylists. I provide not just the technical skills needed to excel, but also guidance on building a successful career path tailored to your unique talents.
About My Story & Styling Philosophy
When I started in this industry six years ago, I realized that styling is rarely about the clothes on a rack. It is about understanding who you are and what you want to project to the world. Whether you are looking to build a career or simply want to feel more confident in your daily outfits, my approach is practical, not academic. We focus on real-world skills like color theory, body shape analysis, and managing the chaos of a professional set, rather than just reading from a textbook.
Mentorship That Matters
My journey from working with celebrities to managing commercial shoots taught me that fashion is a language. The lessons were always the same: detail is everything. At the School of Styling, I pass on these hard-earned insights to help you skip the guesswork.
What You Will Learn
I believe in mentorship that prepares you for the field. If you are learning with me, expect to dive into:
- Color Theory & Body Analysis: We look at your undertones and proportions to find what actually makes you glow, rather than following rigid rules.
- On-Set Realities: I teach you the technical stuff, like why certain patterns cause camera flicker and how to manage wardrobe logistics under pressure.
- Portfolio Building: Theory is useless without proof. I help you execute real shoots so you have a professional portfolio on day one, giving you a competitive edge.
You do not need to be a fashion prodigy to start. You just need to be willing to unlearn a few things. Whether we are doing a wardrobe audit to identify your style gaps or training for a media career, the goal is always the same: helping you wear your story with pride.
