Decorative Jali Walls & Screens for Your Home
We use breathable terracotta blocks and custom framing to create private, airy screens that bring character to your balcony or terrace. 🌿
A finished terrace project at night, showcasing how a terracotta jali wall can be enhanced with lighting. The up-and-down lights create a warm, inviting ambiance and highlight the intricate patterns of the screen.
This is a full-length jali screen we installed on a covered balcony. It provides excellent privacy from the side while still allowing light and air to pass through, making the space feel both open and protected.
Jali blocks can also be used to construct a unique boundary wall or fence. Here, we set terracotta jali panels between concrete pillars for a decorative and semi-private perimeter.

This project shows a combination of classic red brickwork on the lower half and a decorative terracotta jali panel on the upper section. This mixed-material approach adds texture and visual interest to an exterior wall.

About Decorative Jali Walls & Screens
When we build jali walls, we pay special attention to the structural frame. Whether it is terracotta blocks or a metal framework, we ensure every installation is secure and stable, which is particularly important for high-rise balconies or open terraces where wind load is a factor in Bangalore.
Our approach to jali work combines traditional aesthetics with modern construction reliability. We believe that a privacy screen should not just look good, but also serve a functional purpose by allowing airflow while blocking harsh direct sunlight.
How We Approach Jali Installations
- Material Selection: We primarily work with terracotta jali blocks because they are durable and age beautifully. To ensure longevity, we often pair these with Mild Steel (MS) frameworks, which we paint with weather-resistant enamel to prevent rust.
- Surface Preparation: A common issue we see is poor adhesion. We always hack the existing surface to ensure the mortar bonds perfectly, preventing cracks over time.
- Versatility: We do not just build simple walls. We use jali blocks to create stair railings, room dividers, and boundary fences. If you have a specific pattern in mind, we can design the metal framework to hold it securely.
- Maintenance: We finish every project by applying a weather sealant. This prevents moss buildup and grime accumulation, keeping the screen looking fresh even during the Bangalore monsoon.
Whether you are looking for a feature wall to hide a utility area or a decorative screen to create a Zen corner, we plan the layout to maximize both privacy and ventilation.
