About Decoy & Advanced Bite Work
Real protection work is about control, not aggression. Whether we are doing grip development or civil agitation, the most important part is the 'out' command and the ability to calm down immediately after a session. If your dog has intense prey drive, they need a safe, structured outlet that channels that energy into something productive rather than letting them run wild.
Building the Foundation
Advanced bite work is not about creating a guard dog that lashes out. It is a high-level sport and a disciplined craft. We start by channeling your dog's natural drive into focus, using professional bite suits and wedges to teach them how to target, bite, and release on command. This process ensures your dog is confident and stable in high-pressure environments.
The Training Process
- Grip Development: We move from soft bite pillows to full sleeves, teaching the dog to maintain a full-mouth, calm grip rather than shallow, nervous nipping.
- Civil Agitation: I work as the decoy in the full bite suit, creating realistic scenarios to test your dog's nerve strength and handler defense instincts without relying on visual triggers.
- Obedience Under Pressure: True control is executing a clean 'sit' or 'heel' while a decoy is pressuring the dog. We build this level of obedience to ensure your dog is a stable, reliable partner.
Why It Matters
Working breeds like Belgian Malinois and German Shepherds are born to work. If they do not have a productive job, they often develop behavioral problems. My goal is to give you a dog that is a fierce competitor on the field and a balanced, relaxed friend at home. We train throughout Bengaluru, simulating competition conditions to prepare you and your dog for PSA trials or simply for a higher level of daily companionship. This is a journey of trust between you, your dog, and the decoy.
