A classic training sequence with my German Shepherd, Spartan. We start with a focused 'sit' and then reward with an engaging game of tug on the bite pillow. This teaches obedience through the motivation of play.

About Building Drive Through Play

When you have a high-drive dog like a German Shepherd or a Malinois, a standard walk just doesn’t cut it. We use structured tug sessions, not just to tire them out, but to teach them impulse control. It’s about channeling that intensity so your dog learns to listen and switch off, even when the adrenaline is pumping.
