Thematic & Cinematic Photoshoots in Bangalore
I create visual stories—from movie-inspired looks to rustic, ethnic portraits. These are collaborative projects, not paid assignments, designed to build portfolios and push creative boundaries.
This Heeramandi-inspired look is a great example of a full thematic collaboration. The rich colors of the yellow, red, and teal lehenga stand out beautifully against the lush green outdoor background, creating a regal portrait.
Capturing candid, happy moments is just as important as the posed shots. This image from our Heeramandi-style shoot shows the model's joyful expression, highlighted by the soft, natural light filtering through the leaves.
We took this Sabyasachi-style lehenga to a railway track for a unique editorial look. This shot shows how I use leading lines and an unusual environment to create a powerful and unconventional ethnic fashion photograph.
A quiet, thoughtful pose on the railway tracks. This composition focuses on the model's expression and the beautiful drape of the multi-colored lehenga, telling a story with the scene.
This reel captures the entire vibe of our Heeramandi-themed outdoor shoot. It includes everything from the veil shots to the final dramatic poses on the railway tracks, providing a complete visual story for a collaborator's portfolio.
Another take on the Heeramandi theme, this time with a stunning navy blue lehenga. This full-length shot shows the entire outfit and its intricate silver work, captured during an outdoor session in Bangalore.
A close-up portrait to highlight the details of the collaboration. The model's expression, the oxidized silver jewellery, and the sequin work on the blouse are all the focus of this outdoor ethnic wear shot.
This dynamic video reel showcases the movement and sparkle of the blue lehenga. It's the kind of content that performs well on social media and is a key part of what you get from our collabs.
This was a powerful, goddess-themed shoot at a rustic Bangalore location. The model is styled in a vibrant orange saree, embodying a Durga-inspired look, complete with traditional makeup and accessories.
Using the natural elements of the location, like this tree, adds an organic feel to the photoshoot. This pose from our 'Lahu Munh Lag Gaya' series combines the flow of the saree with the texture of the bark.
About Thematic & Cinematic Concepts
If you’re reaching out for these shoots, bring a solid concept or a character you want to play. Since I only do collabs, the 'brief' is usually just a shared idea—like a specific lighting setup, a location vibe, or a mood board. You handle the wardrobe and makeup, I handle the camera and the creative direction. We shoot to create art, not for commercial gain.
My process for thematic shoots is entirely about the vibe. Whether we are recreating a scene from a movie or exploring divine feminine energy, we need a plan.
The Creative Setup
I shoot these using my home-based studio in Kothanur or at specific outdoor locations across Bangalore. My studio is equipped with multi-point lighting, RGB sticklights for those color-soaked moods, and ringlights for clean portraits. Outdoors, I rely on natural light manipulation, using reflectors to catch the golden hour.
What I Look For
I am not looking for clients; I am looking for collaborators. This means:
- Wardrobe & MUA: You arrange the clothes, jewellery, and makeup. If you have a specific look in mind—like the Heeramandi aesthetic or an 'Apsara' concept—I need to know that you can source the outfit.
- Creative Input: I love when models bring ideas. If you have a prop, a pose, or a specific song you want to shoot a reel to, we will work it in.
- No Paid Gigs: Please respect that this is a side passion. I do not do paid shoots. If you are looking for a commercial photographer, I am not the right person for you.
Locations
We shoot at my private studio in Maple Meadows or at outdoor spots like Aura Kalari, local lakes, or railway tracks. We keep the shoot focused—usually 4 to 6 hours—so we have enough time to get the lighting and the angles right without rushing.
