This shot is pure art and movement. I used smoke and warm, dramatic lighting to create an ethereal atmosphere, capturing the model in a graceful dance-like pose that highlights the flow of her lehenga.
We recreated the iconic Gangubai look in this cinematic video. I focused on capturing the character's resilience and quiet power through subtle expressions and moody, vintage-style lighting in a custom-built set.

About Creative & Thematic Portraits
When we do a conceptual shoot, it is not just about the pose. I work with you to build a world using specific lighting, textures, and props from my studio's 400+ setups. We spend time before the shoot aligning the styling and the mood so that when you step in front of the lens, the story flows naturally.
Designing a conceptual portrait is a collaborative journey. My Bengaluru studio is built to handle this versatility, featuring over 400 unique backdrops that range from rustic, industrial textures to ethereal, dreamy scenes. If you have an idea in your head—a specific color palette, a vintage mood, or even a surreal floral theme—I help translate that into a visual story. We often bring in stylists and makeup artists to ensure the hair, costume, and makeup align with the set design.
I focus heavily on cinematic lighting. This means playing with shadows, gels, and artificial light to create depth and atmosphere. If a shoot calls for atmospheric effects like fog or rain machines, we integrate those to heighten the realism.
Before we step onto the set, we talk about the story you want to tell. Are we highlighting the intricate details of a traditional saree, or focusing on the edgy vibe of a modern fashion look? Once we agree on the concept, I handle the creative direction while you focus on the performance. My goal is to deliver images that possess a distinct mood and character, ready for your portfolio or social media feed.
