Pro Kit Insights: Learn My Signature Glowy Makeup Routine
I believe makeup should make you feel like yourself, just dialled up a bit. Here is how I use specific products to get that fresh, dewy finish without the heavy, cakey feeling.
Had so much fun introducing my sister Shaheen to the L'Oréal Paris Infallible Tinted Serum. It's a perfect example of a modern product that's part skincare and part makeup, giving you a dewy, natural finish.
Here’s a quick 'Get Ready With Me' showing how to use a skin tint for a light, breathable base. In this L'Oréal Paris collaboration, we demonstrate how to apply it with just your fingers for a beautiful glow.
This is my full-face routine using YEU Cosmetics. I demonstrate how to apply their non-oxidizing foundation, skincare-infused blush, and long-lasting lipstick to create a fresh and polished look that slays all day.
About Pro Kit Insights & Tutorials
Most people overcomplicate their base by using too many brushes, but your fingers are often the best tools for blending a skin tint or serum foundation. They warm up the product upon contact, allowing it to melt into your skin for that natural, no-makeup glow without leaving streaks or looking heavy.
Building a pro kit is not about hoarding expensive products. It is about understanding what works for your skin type and learning how to apply it correctly. Whether you are using a serum-based tint for an everyday look or a long-wear foundation for an event, the secret lies in the preparation and the application technique.
The Vanity Audit
Before you buy anything new, we need to look at what you already own. In my 1-day workshops, we start with a vanity audit. We look at your existing collection to see what is worth keeping, what has expired, and which shades are actually clashing with your undertones. It saves you money and stops the clutter.
My Go-To Techniques
- Skin Prep is Non-Negotiable: Makeup sits on top of skincare. If your skin is dehydrated, even the most expensive foundation will look patchy. I always prioritize toners and serums before the base.
- Blending Matters: Stop dragging products across your face. Use a dabbing or pressing motion, especially with cream products like blushes or tints. This builds coverage where you need it while keeping the finish looking like real skin.
- Product Swaps: You do not need the exact high-end product I use on a film set. I help you find the right drugstore or mid-range alternatives that give you the same, if not better, results for your specific lifestyle.
My goal is to teach you the skills so you can stop guessing. Whether you want to master a smokey eye or finally understand how to use a skin tint, my sessions are hands-on, practical, and designed to help you create a routine that works for your unique features.
