For me, hair coloring is about more than just changing shades. It’s about helping you feel like yourself, or maybe even a little bolder. I always start by listening to what your hair’s been through and what you want next. My main thing? Healthy hair, always.
What Happens Before We Start
We’ll chat about:
- Your hair’s past (color, texture, how it falls)
- How much time you want to spend on upkeep
- Any inspo pics you’ve got (don’t be shy, show me everything)
How I Color
- I never skip bond-building hair treatments like Olaplex. This keeps your hair strong, even with color.
- Depending on your vibe, I’ll use foils for natural-looking highlights or go for balayage hair coloring if you want that soft, blended look.
- Toners or glosses are a must for nailing the right shade and fighting brassiness.
- I’ll style your hair at the end so you leave feeling sorted.
Shades & Greys
- Want something subtle? Baby lights or teasy lights add dimension without looking fake.
- Balayage is my go-to for low-maintenance, lived-in color.
- If you’re dealing with greys, we can do full coverage or grey blending for hair. No shame in either.
Keeping Color Fresh
- Don’t wash your hair right before your appointment - your scalp’s natural oils help.
- After coloring, use color-safe shampoo, rinse with cool water, and always use heat protectant.
- A toner or gloss every few months keeps things looking fresh.
I’ll always be honest about what’s possible and what’s best for your hair. No box dyes, please - they’re a nightmare to fix.
