About Pottery & Clay Play
Forget perfect shapes or those fancy pottery wheels you see on Instagram. Here, it is all about hand-building. Whether you are pinching clay into a bowl or sculpting a quirky character, the goal is to let your mind wander while your hands do the work. It is messy, it is tactile, and honestly, it is the best kind of therapy.
If you have not touched clay since art class in school, you are exactly who we are looking for. Our pottery and clay modeling sessions are not about becoming a professional ceramist, but about giving your brain a break from the screen. We focus on hand-building techniques like pinching and slab building. This means you will not be struggling with a spinning wheel, but instead, you will be shaping trinket trays, mugs, or cute figurines directly with your hands.
It gets a bit messy, so wear clothes you do not mind getting clay on. Because these are pop-up workshops at partner cafes and studios, we do not do kiln firing. This means everything you make is for decorative use—perfect for your desk or bookshelf, but not food-safe. A small reminder: there is a mandatory F&B cover charge at the venue, which you pay directly to the restaurant. It helps keep the vibe chill and ensures you have got snacks while you sculpt. Come alone, bring a date, or drag your friends—either way, you are leaving with a handmade piece and a better mood.

We are Small World, and we are tired of the digital noise just like you. We started this to get people out of their heads and into the real world, one lump of clay at a time. No judgments, just good vibes and maybe a slightly messy table.
