About Our Philosophy: Why We Do This
When we started, we didn't want to build another class-based setup; we wanted a 'third place' where you could walk in alone and leave with a group of friends. Whether it's our Kintsugi workshop or a social painting party, we prioritize the messy, unscripted moments over perfectly curated results. You’re not here to be an artist; you’re here to disconnect from the screen and reconnect with yourself.
At Small World, we realized that while we’re more 'connected' than ever, we’ve never been lonelier. We noticed people were scrolling for hours, searching for moments to post instead of actually living them. Our workshops are designed to break that cycle. We call it IRL over URL.
Why we do this
We aren't a traditional art school. We’re an antidote to the digital grind. If you’ve ever felt like your weekends are just a blur of streaming and doom-scrolling, you’re our people. We host social painting sessions, pottery play, and culinary jams across 50+ cities, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi, specifically to get you out of your room and into a space where no one cares if your brushstroke is perfect.
What to expect
- No pressure: You don't need skills. If you haven't touched a paintbrush since school, perfect. That’s exactly who we want.
- Real interaction: Our icebreakers are designed to kill the awkwardness. You won’t be standing in a corner; you’ll be sharing a table, a laugh, and probably some pizza with someone new.
- Handmade memories: From Kintsugi repairs to hand-built clay trinkets, you leave with something tangible.
It’s about soul gains, not just skill acquisition. When you join a Small World event, you’re choosing to be present. It’s messy, it’s unscripted, and it’s the most fun you’ll have all week.
Small World
We’re just a bunch of folks who got tired of the screen life. We started Small World to make sure nobody has to spend another Saturday night scrolling alone. Come through, let’s make something real.
