Behind the Scenes of My Mentalism and Magic Shows
Before the reveal and the applause, there is the setup. See the raw energy and preparation that goes into bringing my mentalism and magic shows to life across the country.
"Hi guys!" A quick check-in from Mumbai before my performance for the Reliance group. I was about to perform for all the MDs and CEOs, and the energy was electric.
At the Siri Fort Auditorium for the Flipkart global sales team event. The "Jashn Jeet Ka" (Celebration of Victory) theme was perfect for a night of magical entertainment.

About Behind The Scenes
Most people only see the moment of the reveal, but the show starts long before the audience walks in. Whether I am at a massive corporate summit in Mumbai for Reliance or a sales event at Siri Fort, the prep is intense. I spend hours calibrating the audio, testing the iPad tech, and syncing with the local production crew to make sure that when I ask someone to think of a name, the sound and lighting cues hit perfectly.
The Reality Behind the Magic
People often ask me, 'Sanchit, is this really happening?' When you see the photos from these events, you see the excitement of the moment. But the photos don't show the two hours of pre-show walk-throughs, the tech rehearsals for the iPad integration, or the moments of quiet focus before I hit the stage.
What Goes into a Corporate Show
When I perform for brands like Flipkart or Mercedes-Benz, the stakes are different. It is not just about the trick; it is about the flow of the entire evening.
- Tech Integration: My iPad magic requires specific screen resolutions and reliable HDMI connections to the venue's LED wall.
- Crowd Work: I spend time before the show scouting the room, identifying key stakeholders to involve, and ensuring the comedy lands for that specific corporate culture.
- Logistics: From coordinating with the local sound engineer to ensuring my assistant has the props in place, the backstage work is where the magic becomes a professional performance.
Why the Setup Matters
My shows are designed to be interactive, which means I cannot rely on a pre-canned script. I need to be ready to adapt to the room's energy. If the audience is loud and energetic, I ramp up the speed. If it is an intimate board meeting, I focus on tighter, more intricate mentalism. Every venue is different, from the acoustics of a large auditorium to the intimate setup of a luxury hotel ballroom. The behind-the-scenes work ensures that no matter the setting, the impact remains the same: total audience engagement.
