Behind the Scenes: The Tech Behind Our Magic
Ever wonder how we pull off a Tron dance in complete darkness? Step into our studio to see the rehearsals, the tech setups, and the transformation from practice to performance.
A classic backstage transition. One moment we are getting ready, the next we are in full costume, ready to hit the stage. This is the transformation that wows the audience.
From a casual walk to a full-on Tron performance. These transition videos are a fun way for us to showcase our different looks.
A slow-motion transition we filmed in Jaipur. The historic architecture provides a great contrast to our futuristic LED costumes.
A rehearsal video from our studio. This clip shows the before-and-after of a routine, first without lights and then in full costume with the effects turned on.
Which costume is your favorite? This video showcases four different LED outfits, from our classic Tron look to our energetic Bhangra gear.
A mix of all our best acts in one quick video. You can see our MJ tribute, Bhangra dancers, and other characters in a fast-paced montage.
The team behind the masks. A casual group photo of our core crew, the dancers and creators who make Skeleton Dance Crew what it is.
A team photo after our performance for a Motorola corporate event. We love working with innovative brands.
All set for the performance. A candid shot of the crew walking backstage with our Tron Bike, ready to make an entrance.
A behind-the-scenes look at a custom installation. For this event, we installed neon lights on a large lighthouse prop to make it part of the stage design.
About Behind the Scenes & Transitions
The Tron suits you see on stage are hand-assembled and programmed for millisecond-perfect sync. When we are setting up for a show, like the time we rigged up a custom lighthouse installation, it is not just about turning on lights. It is about testing every connection so the blackout moment hits exactly when it needs to. We spend weeks in the studio perfecting these transitions, not just the steps, because that is where the real work happens before we step onto your stage.
People often ask if it is magic, but our performances are a mix of wireless LED technology and precise choreography. Our Tron suits use custom EL-Wire and programmable LED strips, all controlled off-stage by a technical director. If one wire disconnects, the illusion breaks, which is why we are always testing our gear at our Rajouri Garden studio before any event.
Beyond the Rehearsals
We are not just dancers; we are tech enthusiasts. Whether we are figuring out how to mount lights on a car or creating a pixel poi sequence for a logo reveal, every show goes through a rigorous testing phase. We treat every event as a new challenge, pushing ourselves to see what we can make glow next.
The Blackout Reality
Our best acts require a total blackout. This means we often need to coordinate closely with your event planners or venue technicians to ensure the stage is prepped for absolute darkness. If the venue has too much ambient light, the glow will not pop the way you see in our videos. This is why our site visits and technical rehearsals are so critical to the final result.
The Human Element
Beyond the tech, it is the transition that matters most. That split second where a dancer walks out in normal rehearsal gear and then strikes a pose in full Tron regalia, that is the moment we live for. We have taken this energy to over 30 countries, but the setup process remains the same: focus, sweat, and a lot of wires.
Skeleton Dance Crew
We are Skeleton Dance Crew, and we have spent 20 years proving that dance and technology belong together. We are the team that brought Tron dance to India, and we still treat every new show like our first one, full of energy and a bit of a creative mess.
