About this collection
Before I start any wooden or laminate installation, the base floor must be level. If the sub-floor is uneven, your planks will shift and squeak over time. If you are worried about your current floor condition, tell me during the site visit so we can check if it needs preparation work before we lay anything down.
Choosing the Right Flooring
I install several types of flooring in Delhi NCR, each suited for different uses. For homes, laminate wooden flooring is a popular choice. It comes in 8mm to 12mm thickness with AC3 or AC4 ratings, meaning it is tough enough to handle daily movement without scratching easily. I install these in various patterns including straight, herringbone, and chevron to change how the room looks.
For high-traffic areas like offices or corridors, I recommend commercial carpet tiles or PVC vinyl flooring. Carpet tiles are practical because if one section gets stained or damaged, you only need to replace that specific tile rather than the whole floor. For spaces that need frequent cleaning, such as entryways or kitchens, vinyl is a better option as it is water-resistant and easy to wipe down.
My Installation Process
- Site Visit: I bring physical catalogs to your space so we can see the colors and textures in your actual lighting.
- Preparation: A clean and level sub-floor is the most important step. I apply a 2mm foam underlayment for laminate floors to help with noise reduction and moisture protection.
- Execution: I cut and lock the planks or tiles to fit the room perfectly, including around corners and door frames. I do not use shortcuts that lead to edge lifting or gaps.
If you have a commercial office, I can create custom designs using different colored carpet tiles to mark walkways or specific zones. For residential projects, I focus on the finish of the skirting and transitions to ensure a clean look that ties the room together.
