We bridge the gap between grassroots insights and systemic reform, collaborating with government bodies and global institutions to build a more equitable sports ecosystem in India.

We are bridging the gap between Indian sports and global academia. This graphic announces our formal partnership with Liverpool John Moores University to collaborate on joint research, student projects, and curriculum development in female sports science.

Our work is recognized by the most prestigious platforms in Indian sports. We are proud to be the official Philanthropy Partner for the Indian Sports Honours, helping to celebrate and support the athletes who make our nation proud.

This powerful testimonial from the Director General of the Bihar State Sports Authority highlights the success and importance of our partnership in launching the "Simply Periods" initiative, setting a new standard for athlete welfare in India.

Our founder, Ankit Nagori, discusses the mission behind Simply Sport Foundation on the GameRoom podcast. He shares insights on the importance of sport in India and the need to address mental wellness for athletes, a core focus of our work.

We celebrate the success of the athletes we support. Here, 15 of our rugby players from our grassroots program are felicitated by the Odisha Government for their remarkable achievements at the national level, a testament to the power of dedicated support.

About this collection

Our work with the Bihar State Sports Authority demonstrates how we translate field data into policy. We implemented the 'Simply Periods' kiosk initiative across major sports complexes, supporting over 800 female athletes with menstrual health education and resources. This project shifted from simple advocacy to an operational, data-backed intervention that addresses the physical and mental hurdles female athletes face during training and competition.

Systemic change in Indian sports requires more than just good intentions. It demands rigorous research, strong governance, and a willingness to challenge the status quo. We partner with state governments, educational institutions, and industry bodies to build frameworks that are practical, transparent, and scalable.

Bridging Academia and Fieldwork

Our collaboration with Liverpool John Moores University highlights our commitment to data-driven sports science. By integrating global academic research with our local grassroots data, we help define policies that reflect the real-world needs of Indian athletes. This partnership focuses on co-developing curricula, joint research initiatives, and student projects that directly inform our Women’s Health Program.

Our Strategic Approach

We do not operate in isolation. Our policy advisory services are built on direct engagement with stakeholders:

  • Policy Formulation: We draft organizational codes and state-level sports policies. Our process includes 3 to 5 stakeholder roundtables with coaches, athletes, and administrators to ensure policies are grounded in reality.
  • Governance & Compliance: We assist sports bodies in aligning with global best practices, focusing on POSH compliance, contract literacy, and athlete protection protocols.
  • Impact Research: We deploy field teams to conduct large-scale surveys, creating white papers that highlight infrastructure and hygiene gaps to government stakeholders.

Why Partner With Us

When you partner with Simply Sport Foundation, you are not just signing an MOU. You are engaging with a team that has the operational capacity to roll out 12-month plans, conduct legal vetting, and facilitate committee support. We are looking to connect with organizations and government bodies that are serious about creating a fair, world-class sports system where every athlete has a legitimate opportunity to thrive.
