This is where it all begins. A young athlete, full of determination, ready to take on the world. We believe in the power of sport to unlock the potential within every child, giving them the confidence to dream big, both on and off the field.
No girl should have to press pause on her dreams. Our 'Play Without Pause' initiative is India's first menstrual health and sports pilot, designed to educate and empower young female athletes to train with confidence, not fear, every day of the month.
A coach is more than a trainer; they are a mentor and a support system. We invest in 'Coach the Coach' workshops, creating spaces for open conversation and learning about inclusive coaching, mental wellbeing, and athlete-centered development.
From a remote village in Uttarakhand to the world's biggest stage. We celebrate the incredible journey of Ankita Dhyani, who has qualified for the Paris Olympics 2024. Her story is a testament to the power of resilience and proof that talent can emerge from anywhere.
The raw energy of Kabaddi. We are committed to promoting traditional Indian sports, organizing and funding rural tournaments that give young athletes a vital platform to compete, learn, and grow in a supportive environment.
The future is bright, and it's female. We celebrate the graduation of 16 young women from our Female Athlete Leadership Programme. These are not just athletes; they are future leaders, ready to inspire change in their communities.
It takes a village to raise a champion. We are proud to partner with organizations like Navsahyog Foundation to support large-scale tournaments, bringing together hundreds of rural athletes and strengthening the grassroots sports ecosystem across India.

About Grassroots Sports Development

Why We Do What We Do

Sport can change lives, but not everyone gets the same start. Har ek player ki journey itni simple nahi hoti (every athlete’s path isn’t easy). We’re here to make sure kids, especially from villages and small towns, have a shot at playing, learning, and growing—on the field and off it.

What We Actually Do

  • We run school-based sports initiatives, partnering with government schools and academies to make playing sports part of daily life for kids in Grades 5-7 and beyond.
  • Coaching is key—so we don’t just train kids, we also have local coach training programs. Coaches get tools to handle everything from team spirit to tough stuff like mental health and period education.
  • We sort out the basics, supplying kids with proper kits and gear—jerseys, shoes, even TVs for match analysis. No child should sit out because they can’t afford equipment.
  • Local tournaments matter. We help organise and fund rural sports events like Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, and Football so young athletes get real chances to compete.

Girls at the Centre

  • Girls’ sports scholarships are a big part of our push—100+ girls get help with education and sports costs each year.
  • We focus on keeping girls in the game, making spaces safe and supportive.
  • Our girls have gone from “ladkiyan bhi kuch kar sakti hain?” (can girls even do this?) to leading on and off the field.

More Than Just Sports

We mix in life skills, leadership, and career guidance, because asli jeet (real victory) is when kids grow in confidence, not just in medals.

Across India

Our work stretches from Bangalore to Odisha, West Bengal, Delhi, and more—covering sports from Football and Rugby to Judo and Archery, reaching kids wherever they are.

My Story

We started Simply Sport with a simple idea - sports is more than medals. Bahut saare bachche hain jo akela struggle karte hain (so many kids struggle alone). We saw girls dropping out, no one talking about periods or nutrition, just 'lose weight' bol diya (just told to lose weight). We wanted to change this. Now we run workshops, share real stories on 'Blue Rising', and even help shape national sports policy. For us, real success is when every athlete, boy or girl, feels strong inside and out.

My Work

What We Do - Workshops on mental health, menstrual health, sports nutrition for girls, grants, career programs, and 'Blue Rising' vodcast.

Athlete Well-being First - Not just about winning - we make safe spaces for athletes to talk, ask for help, and grow.

Backing Female Athletes - Menstrual health workshops, nutrition support, and smashing barriers so girls can thrive in sports.

Grassroots Sports Support - We partner with local groups, giving training, gear, and real chances to young talent.

Real Athlete Stories - Our 'Blue Rising' vodcast shares honest journeys, struggles, and wins of Indian athletes.
