Traditional Ceremonies and Family Milestone Photography
From Seemantham to naming ceremonies, I document the rituals and raw emotions that make your family's celebrations unique.

About this collection
I focus on the moments that usually get missed: the quiet prayer during a Seemantham, the laughter of cousins during a Naming Ceremony, or the way the elders bless the baby. My goal isn't just to pose everyone for a stage photo, but to document the rituals, the cultural details, and the people who make these occasions feel like home.
When you are hosting a traditional ceremony, the last thing you should worry about is whether the photographer is capturing the right moment. Whether it is a Valaikaapu, an Annaprasana, or a milestone festive birthday, I work to blend into the background. I provide 4 hours of continuous coverage, which gives me enough time to get the formal family portraits and, more importantly, the candid interactions that happen between the rituals.
My Approach to Traditional Events
I believe in a balanced mix of photography styles for these events:
- Ritual Documentation: I make sure to capture the specific ceremonial steps—the pouring of milk, the blessing of the mother-to-be, or the placing of the first morsel of food. These details are what you will look back on.
- Candid Storytelling: I keep an eye on the crowd. The aunties fussing over the decor, the kids running around in their ethnic outfits, and the genuine laughter during the main events.
- Formal Group Portraits: Every event needs those classic, posed family photos. I ensure we get these done efficiently so you can get back to your guests.
Practical Details
I know that traditional ceremonies in Bangalore can be fast-paced. My event packages are designed to be straightforward. You get a senior photographer, 150 to 250 high-quality images, and a quick 2-week turnaround for your digital gallery. If you have specific cultural requirements or are hosting at a venue or home, let me know in advance so I can plan the gear and shots accordingly. I travel across Bangalore for these events, ensuring that no matter the location, your family's milestone is documented with care.
