A Peek Behind the Scenes at Shraddha Doodles
I’m pulling back the curtain on how I turn simple doodles into the calendars and stationery you see here. It’s a real, messy, and lovely journey.
This is a really special photo for me. I’m sitting with my first-ever bulk order, feeling so grateful and a little overwhelmed. It’s moments like these that keep me going.
A happy selfie from a late-night work session, with my trusty dog keeping me company. This is what my freelance design life often looks like!
A quick tour of my stall at the SteppinOut Night Market. I love getting to meet customers in person and see them connect with my doodles.
A little video recap of all the things that made the year special, from market stalls and new products to workshops with kids. So grateful for it all.
My design process usually involves my iPad, the Procreate app, and my furry supervisor making sure I do a good job.
More scenes from the Christmas edition of the SteppinOut Night Market. The energy was amazing and it was so fun to be a part of it.

About this collection
Behind every piece of stationery I make, there’s usually my iPad, a lot of coffee, and my dog keeping me company while I sketch. I’m a one-woman show, so I handle everything from the initial doodle to the final packaging myself, often with my family jumping in to help when orders pile up. It’s not always polished, but it’s real, it’s handmade, and it’s always made with a whole lot of heart.
Running a small, home-based business in Bangalore has been quite the rollercoaster. Some months, I’m celebrating a bulk order for 100 calendars, and other times, I’m just grateful for a single notebook sale. My design process is pretty straightforward. I usually start on my iPad using Procreate, sketching out ideas that make me giggle or smile. Once the digital illustration is ready, I decide whether it needs to be on a magnetic bookmark, a planner, or one of my A5 notebooks.
You might notice a lot of puns in my work. That is intentional. Life gets serious enough, so I try to keep my art quirky and lighthearted. When it comes to market stalls like SteppinOut, my family is my backbone. We set up the displays together, and honestly, seeing people pick up a bookmark and actually laugh at the pun is the best validation I could ask for.
I do not outsource my creative work. When you order a custom design or a bulk gift package, you are getting something that went from my tablet straight to the final product. If you are curious about how I handle custom corporate orders or just want to chat about a potential project, feel free to reach out. I am always open to ideas, whether it is for a kids' workshop or custom stationery for your brand.
