Puppy Foundation Training in Gurugram
Every puppy needs a solid start. Whether it is housebreaking, basic commands, or building social confidence, I help your young dog learn the right way—without fear or yelling. Let’s make your puppy a happy, well-behaved family member.
Here is a Beagle puppy learning the foundations of focus heeling on a rooftop lawn. It is never too early to start building a strong bond and teaching good habits through fun, positive training sessions.
Socialization is critical for a well-rounded dog. Here, I am guiding a Toy Poodle puppy through a new environment at a park, helping it build confidence and learn to be comfortable around new sights and sounds.
This Toy Poodle puppy is in an early-stage indoor training session. For small breeds and young pups, I focus on short, engaging activities to teach basic manners and build a positive association with learning.
This young Husky puppy is learning foundational commands like 'sit' and 'down'. Early training is all about making learning fun and positive to build a strong foundation for future obedience.
Here are two young Huskies learning to remain calm and hold a 'down-stay' command near each other. This is an important exercise for teaching impulse control and ensuring good behavior around other dogs.
About Puppy Foundation Training
Early training isn't just about 'sit' or 'stay'—it is about preventing problems before they start. During these sessions, I focus on building a routine that works for your home, not just the training field. We will handle crate training, potty schedules, and socialization together, ensuring your puppy learns to handle new sounds and strangers calmly, setting the stage for a stress-free adulthood.
Building a Strong Foundation
Puppy training is not just about teaching tricks. It is about communication. When you bring a puppy home, they don't speak your language yet. My foundation program bridges that gap. We focus on clear, positive reinforcement techniques that help your dog understand exactly what is expected of them.
What We Cover
- House Rules: Potty training guidance and crate training, so your home stays clean and your puppy feels secure.
- Socialization: Controlled exposure to new surfaces, sounds, and people. A well-socialized dog is a calm dog, not an anxious one.
- Basic Obedience: Introducing verbal cues and hand signals for 'Sit,' 'Down,' 'Stay,' and 'Recall.'
- Impulse Control: Teaching your puppy to wait, stay calm, and not jump on guests or pull on the leash.
Why Start Early?
It is crucial to teach the right things early. Baccha ko sahi cheez sikhaana zaroori hai (It is important to teach the right things to a young one). Developing bad habits—like nipping or excessive barking—is easy, but fixing them later takes much more work. Starting between 2 to 6 months is the golden window for behavior development.
My Approach
I don't use yelling or fear. I rely on understanding dog psychology. Every breed, from a tiny Poodle to a high-drive Husky, has its own quirks. I adapt my training to your puppy's personality. Whether we are working in your living room or a neighborhood park, the goal is always the same: a confident dog that is a joy to live with, not a source of stress.
