About Golden Hour & Nature Shoots
Chasing the golden hour means working with the sun's schedule, usually an hour before sunset. This is when the light is at its softest and most flattering for your maternity portraits, making every frame feel effortless and dreamy. While we can pick any park or nature spot in Mumbai that suits you, I always recommend places where we have enough space to move and breathe without worrying about crowds.
Outdoor shoots are a completely different experience compared to studio sessions. In a garden or park, we aren't restricted by backdrops—we have the trees, the natural paths, and that beautiful, fading sun.
To get those glowing, candid shots you see in my gallery, timing is everything. We start our session about 60 to 90 minutes before the sun dips below the horizon.
Here are a few practical things to keep in mind for our outdoor session:
- Travel & Logistics: I don't handle transport between your home and the location, so please arrange your commute to the garden accordingly.
- Location Permits: Some public parks or private gardens in Mumbai might charge a photography permit fee. It is always good to check or let me know beforehand so we aren't surprised on the day of the shoot.
- The Wardrobe: Since we will be walking around, choose a dress you feel comfortable moving in. My packages include gown rentals with long, flowy trails that look incredible when caught in a gentle breeze.
