Here are five important tips for draping a tissue saree, which can be tricky to handle. This saree is from Seven Sarees, and I show you how to manage the fabric for a perfect drape.

About this collection

Many students come to me thinking they need a stylist for every event. Actually, you just need to master two things: the anchor point for your pleats and the tension for your pallu. In my sessions, we do not just drape; we troubleshoot your specific fabric types. Whether it is a stiff tissue saree that refuses to sit flat or a slippery silk that keeps coming undone, I show you the exact clipping and pinning sequence that keeps your drape secure for over eight hours.

I believe that every woman should be able to wear her favorite saree without waiting for someone to help her. My one-on-one sessions are designed to move you past the fear of messy pleats and sliding pallus. We work on your own sarees, which means we learn how to handle fabrics like heavy Kanjeevarams, stiff Organza, and even lightweight Mul Cotton.

What we cover in your session

  • The Foundation: How to set your height and base pleats so your saree does not move while you walk.
  • Pallu Control: Whether you prefer an open pallu or a pinned look, I teach you the secret to keeping it tight without heavy safety pin marks.
  • Fabric Logic: We look at why a Tissue saree requires a different tucking technique than a Silk saree. It is all about physics, not magic.
  • Troubleshooting: I teach you how to fix a loose pleat mid-event using simple hacks that won't ruin your look.

I offer these sessions in person at my Bangalore home studio or via live video calls if you are elsewhere. We go at your pace, repeating the process until you can do it with your eyes closed. After all, the goal is to make saree draping a part of your everyday routine, not a stressful task for special occasions.
