Meet the Women Behind Your Meals
Our Sheros are home chefs from across India, turning their traditional family recipes into professional, thriving businesses. When you order from us, you support a community of over 2,300 women reclaiming their independence one meal at a time.
"I'm a Shero." This is the proud declaration of the women in our network. They are expert home chefs and entrepreneurs, building their own businesses and inspiring others.
We celebrate our chefs every day, but especially during Chef Appreciation Week. Here are some of the amazing women who pour their hearts into every meal they cook for you.
We believe in the power of women to shape a brighter world. Joining Shero is more than a job; it's becoming part of a movement that celebrates the culinary talent and entrepreneurial spirit of women.
This is our culinary revolution. We provide a platform for talented home cooks to serve their recipes to the world and earn from their passion, turning them into confident culinary professionals.
Do you love cooking? With Shero, you can turn that love into a source of income. We provide the support and platform for you to start your own home food business.
On World Food Safety Day and every day, we emphasize hygiene and safety. Our Sheros are trained to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in their kitchens, ensuring your food is not just tasty but also safe.
A clean kitchen is a happy kitchen. We encourage our home chefs to follow best practices for hygiene, like using natural cleaners. This commitment to cleanliness is something you can taste in our food.
About Our Sheros: The Heart of Our Kitchens
Every Shero you see here started exactly where you are, often with a single family recipe they perfected. Today, they manage professional-grade kitchens, balancing rigorous food safety standards with the authentic, regional flavors they have honed over years. When you order from a Shero, you are not just getting a meal; you are directly supporting a woman’s journey to financial independence and seeing her reclaim her time and talent.
What does it take to become a Shero? It begins with a passion for cooking and a willingness to learn. Many of our partners come to us as homemakers who were told their cooking was just a daily chore. We provide the training, safety certification, and logistics support to help them scale.
Our kitchens operate on one principle: no restaurant shortcuts. Whether it is a traditional Chettinad kootu, an Andhra-style spicy curry, or a simple Kerala sadya, the process is home-style. This means ingredients are sourced fresh, prep work happens in the morning, and the final dish retains the nuance of a home kitchen.
Hygiene is non-negotiable for us. We train our Sheros on safety protocols, including kitchen sanitization and storage, ensuring that while the food tastes like home, it meets high professional standards. We believe that professionalizing home kitchens is the key to creating sustainable livelihoods. By choosing a subscription or a daily meal from our network, you are helping these women build a business that is completely their own.
