I have selected these projects to show you how I blend nature, artisanal craft, and modern living. Each space tells a different story.
This is what I mean by an urban oasis. We designed this entertainment lounge with a retractable ceiling and vast glass walls that completely open up, blurring the line between the indoors and the lush garden outside. The vibrant colors and comfortable seating make it the perfect space for large gatherings, all while being surrounded by nature.
For me, a bathroom should be a private sanctuary. In this home, we transformed the space into a work of art with a stunning floral mosaic from Sicis that flows from the wall onto the floor. It’s a testament to how artistic expression and everyday function can come together in the most beautiful way.
The staircase is often the spine of a home, and I wanted this one to be a dramatic centerpiece. We used bookmatched Panda marble, meticulously ensuring the natural veins flow seamlessly from the ground floor to the top. It’s a bold architectural statement that showcases the beauty of natural stone.
A pooja room is the spiritual heart of a home, and I designed this one to feel truly ethereal. We used a backdrop of cascading white and gold mosaic tiles that shimmer in the light, creating a serene and divine atmosphere for prayer and reflection, all while being Vastu-compliant.
I believe a master bedroom should be a peaceful retreat. Here, we framed the garden view with a large window, making nature the primary artwork. The soft textures, custom headboard, and calm color palette come together to create a space of timeless elegance and comfort.
I have a deep love for collaborating with Indian artisans. This magnificent 30-foot ceramic mural, featuring flamingos among tropical leaves, was created piece by piece. It’s a unique, handcrafted feature that brings so much personality and a touch of the wild into the home.
Come on a quick tour of the Lux Casa project in Bangalore. In this video, I share a little about my idea of luxury and how we approached designing this 18,000-square-foot home, from the Vastu-compliant entrance to the grand staircase, to be a calm and inviting space for the family.
About this collection
In my Lux Casa project, I focused on erasing the barrier between the indoors and the garden. We used retractable ceilings and vast glass walls so the living area functions as an extension of the lawn. This is how I ensure a home feels like an urban oasis rather than just a collection of rooms.
Luxury is often misunderstood as just grand furniture or expensive materials, but I see it differently. For me, it is about how a space makes you feel when you walk through the door.
The Lux Casa Approach
This 18,000 square-foot villa in Sadashiv Nagar, Bangalore, is a perfect example of my design philosophy. The goal was to balance the client’s desire for modern amenities with a deep respect for Vastu principles and traditional Indian elements. We oriented the main entrance and the pooja room specifically to ensure the home felt spiritually grounded while maintaining an open, airy flow.
Craftsmanship That Tells a Story
I am not interested in buying off-the-shelf decor. I prefer collaborating with Indian artisans to build unique features. For this project, we worked on a 30-foot ceramic mural that brings a wild, natural energy into the home. We also sourced Panda marble for the staircase, meticulously matching the veins of every slab so the stone flows seamlessly from the ground floor all the way to the top.
Harmony Through Details
Every material choice serves a purpose. We used mother-of-pearl jaali work to add texture and intricate detail, and incorporated natural stone like Travertino for the walls to bring in warmth. Whether I am working on a private home theatre with a starlit ceiling or a quiet bedroom suite, the objective remains the same: creating a space that feels like a refuge from the city. I do not just design for the eyes; I design for the soul of the home.
