Behind the Scenes: The Styling Process

People see the final campaign photo, but the real work happens just outside the frame. On set, I am usually busy clamping excess fabric to ensure a perfect fit, steaming out stubborn wrinkles, and keeping the energy high. It is a bit of organized chaos, but that is exactly how we get that professional editorial finish.

When you book a shoot, you are not just hiring someone to pick outfits. You are hiring a partner to handle the production reality. Whether it is a commercial ad campaign or a model portfolio, my role on set is to bridge the gap between a mood board and the final high-quality image.

Why the Details Matter

I carry a full stylist kit to every shoot, loaded with fabric tape, clamps, and a heavy-duty steamer. If a dress is sitting wrong or a lehenga is falling flat, I fix it in real-time. I work closely with the photographer to adjust garment flow, making sure the movement looks natural and intentional.

My Approach on Set

I am the one asking, 'Kitni looks baaki hain?' (How many looks are left?) because shoots move fast and models get tired. My job is to keep the turnover efficient. For brand lookbooks, I focus on the micro-styling, like ring stacking and cuffing, to make sure the brand identity is clear.
