About this collection
These sessions focus on controlled lighting setups that go beyond standard illumination. By using artificial strobes and specific positioning, we create deep shadows and high-contrast visuals that emphasize texture and form, which is essential for editorial-grade fashion or high-impact brand profiles.
I shoot primarily with a Nikon Z6II system, which allows for precise color accuracy and sharpness. My process for these sessions is intentional and disciplined. Whether we are in a studio or on location, the goal is to create imagery with a heavy, atmospheric vibe that feels distinct from standard, brightly-lit photography.
The Process
For these portraits, the lighting is the main character. I use artificial light to sculpt the subject, playing with highlights and deep blacks to create a look that feels more like an editorial spread than a casual headshot. This is why these images perform well for brands that need their product or subject to stand out rather than blend in.
Practical Details
- Venue: We can shoot in a controlled studio environment for consistent, clean backgrounds, or an industrial location to add grit to the composition.
- Turnaround: You get your final high-resolution images within 5 to 7 working days.
- Retouching: My post-production is focused on high-end skin retouching and careful color grading, ensuring the moody aesthetic is maintained from the raw file to the final delivery.
