About this collection
Our yellow and green wristbands are more than just accessories. They are a clear way to track your progress through our levels, from basic freestyle routines to complex choreography. Whether you are learning Bollywood basics or traditional Bharatanatyam, these bands help you see your own growth, reminding you that consistency, not perfection, is the secret.
Tracking Your Growth
Dance can feel like a blur of moves when you are just starting. The yellow and green wristband system at Shadows Dance Studio acts as a roadmap for your learning. When you join a basic batch, those early steps in freestyle or Bharatanatyam can feel intimidating. The yellow band signifies that you have mastered the fundamentals, from your posture and adavus (steps) to the rhythm of a Bollywood routine.
Moving to the green band means you are tackling more complex choreography and isolations. It is a moment of accomplishment that we celebrate as a community. It is not about being perfect; it is about Illinda illige (from here to here)—learning, correcting, and moving forward.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I have to perform for the band? We treat assessments as part of your regular class routine. There is no high-pressure stage fright here, just a helpful check-in on the techniques we have been practicing.
- Where can I join? We have studios in Padmanabhanagar, Anjanapura, and Banashankari. The assessment system is consistent across all branches, so your progress follows you wherever you practice.
- What happens after the green band? You keep dancing. Many of our students use that momentum to move into specialized certification courses or start preparing for Prayaan, our annual showcase where over 200 of us take the stage.
Shadows Dance Studio
