About Classic Jodhpuri & Bandhgala Suits
For a Jodhpuri or Bandhgala, the structure is everything. I work with high-density fabrics like corduroy and velvet, using fused interlining to ensure that sharp, broad silhouette stays crisp throughout your event. If you see a style here that catches your eye, I can replicate that specific cut for you with a personalized fitting session at my Borivali outlets.
When you choose a Bandhgala, you are selecting a silhouette that does not require heavy styling to look regal. At my Borivali workshops, I focus on the precision of the fit, as even the best fabric will not look right if the shoulders or waist are off by a centimeter.
Choosing Your Fabric
For daytime events or office receptions, I recommend our corduroy or patterned cotton-blends. They are breathable, hold their shape well, and offer a more understated elegance. If you are preparing for a grand wedding reception, our velvet and raw silk Bandhgalas are the preferred choice. These come with satin lining and can be paired with accessories like chain brooches or pocket squares to complete the look.
The Custom Fitting Process
Since these suits are structured, fit is non-negotiable. Whether you select a readymade piece from my store or opt for a full custom ensemble, my process includes trials to adjust the shoulder padding, sleeve length, and waist.
- Turnaround: Because we focus on precision, custom orders typically require 10 to 20 days to complete.
- Included: Every suit set comes with matching trousers or a churidar, tailored to complement the coat.
- Hardware: Buttons and brooches are customizable; you can swap these out to match your personal style or the theme of the wedding.
If you have a specific fabric or design in mind, feel free to visit my store at Indraprastha or Gokul Shopping Centre. You can walk in for a measurement session any day of the week.
Scale
I have been running my stores in Borivali since 1990, focusing on getting the fit right for every customer. I believe a sharp Bandhgala should make you feel confident without feeling restricted, and I am here to help you get that balance exactly right.
