About this collection
When choosing satin, the weight matters as much as the print. For flowy co-ord sets, our Modal satin works best because it has a natural, heavy drape that does not cling to the body, while our Gajji satin provides a structured, glossy base ideal for festive kurtas.
Satin is often misunderstood as difficult to work with, but the secret lies in knowing which version to pick for your pattern. We stock two main types that serve different needs.
Our Modal satin is a vegetable fiber blend that feels cool to the touch and offers a heavy, fluid drape. It is our top recommendation for everyday co-ord sets, jumpsuits, or relaxed dresses because it moves with you and resists static. If you are aiming for a traditional look, our Gajji satin is the way to go. It has a slightly more structured finish and features bold, traditional prints that pop. It is excellent for festive kurtas or sarees where you want the fabric to hold its shape.
One thing to remember is the lining. Satin, especially in lighter weights, can be unforgiving if worn without the right foundation. For flowy styles, we often suggest a butter crepe lining to maintain that soft movement. If you are working with a sheer or lighter satin, a Japan satin lining is usually our go-to to ensure you get a clean, finished look.
All our digital prints are pre-checked for color bleeding, and we keep our rolls neatly stacked to avoid the creases you might find in wholesale markets. Whether you need a specific yardage for a custom gown or a few meters for a kurta, we can help you calculate exactly what you need to reduce wastage.
