Announcing our gardening workshop. We host these sessions to share our knowledge on indoor gardening, plant care, and choosing the right pots, helping you become a more confident plant parent.

In this episode, I break down how to budget for your garden makeover. I explain our process, from creating a master plan to choosing the right plants and budget-friendly pots to fit your needs.

I answer a common question: how much time do plants need? I also share simple care tips for popular indoor plants like the Areca Palm and Aglaonema, which only require a few minutes of your day.

Perfect for beginners. This video introduces three of the easiest houseplants to care for: Enjoy Pothos, ZZ Plant, and Snake Plant, along with planter suggestions to get you started on your green journey.

About this collection

Most new plant parents struggle with the same three things: overwatering, choosing the wrong soil mix, and misreading light requirements. In my workshops, I do not just tell you which plant to buy, I show you the mechanics of the soil, the specific hydration needs of an Areca Palm versus a ZZ plant, and exactly how to prune to encourage new growth so you stop feeling anxious and start enjoying your space.

Creating a green space is about more than aesthetics, it is about keeping a living thing thriving. I have seen so many people in Mangalore get discouraged because their first few plants did not make it. The problem is rarely the plant, it is the lack of context. My content and hands-on sessions focus on building your confidence as a grower.

We break down the technical side: soil composition, drainage systems, and Vastu-compliant layouts. You will learn about specimen plants like the Fiddle Leaf Fig and why they need specific leaf-cleaning routines to stay healthy. Whether it is setting up a vertical bio-wall or managing a simple balcony corner, the principles remain the same. I want you to walk away from my sessions feeling empowered to handle everything from microgreens to indoor palm maintenance. We keep things transparent, with no jargon, just practical advice that works in our specific climate here in Namma Kudla.

What we cover in our sessions:

  • Soil Science: Learning the difference between cocopeat and red soil mixes to ensure root health.
  • Plant Identification: Understanding the sunlight requirements for popular indoor plants like Snake Plants, Pothos, and Aglaonemas.
  • Maintenance Routines: How to set up a watering schedule that prevents root rot, even if you travel frequently.
  • Pest & Health: Simple, natural tricks to keep pests at bay without harsh chemicals.

Join our next workshop to get hands-on experience and get your specific questions answered.

I am Poornima, and I believe everyone has a green thumb, they just need the right guidance. I started these workshops because I saw so many friends in Mangalore struggling to keep their plants alive, and I wanted to make the science behind gardening simple, fun, and accessible for everyone.
