About Dimensional Highlights
Getting the perfect dimension isn't just about picking a shade. It’s about how we place the foils. I often use back-to-back foiling for that high-impact, rich look you see in these photos. Because lightening can be intense, I build in K18 or Fibreplex treatment right from the start to make sure your hair stays strong. It’s the difference between a dry, crispy finish and that glossy, healthy feel you actually want.
Foils vs. Balayage: What do you actually need?
It is easy to get lost in the terminology. If you want a uniform, brighter look from roots to ends, we usually go for classic or full-head foiling. Balayage is great for that soft, 'lived-in' grow out, but if you want noticeable strands of color that pop, foiling is the technique we need.
The 'Healthy Hair' Difference
I see a lot of people worried about damage, and fair enough. Lightening hair is a chemical process. That is why in my Bandra salon, we don't just 'do' color. We incorporate K18 or Fibreplex in every lightening session. It protects your hair bonds while we work, meaning you leave with hair that feels bouncy and looks shiny, not fried.
My Approach to Your Session
- Consultation: We start by looking at your skin tone and hair health. If your hair is already compromised, we will talk about what is realistically possible so we don't push it too far.
- The Blend: I love mixing tones. Whether it is caramel and mocha for depth or cool ash and beige for that modern, matte look, I will mix a cocktail of shades that complements your base.
- Aftercare: I’ll send you off with advice on how to keep that tone fresh so you aren't back in the chair for a toner every two weeks.
If you are coming in for a transformation, bring photos of what you love. It helps me understand exactly what kind of 'dimension' you are picturing.
