From the mist-covered grasslands of Dudhwa to the vast plains of Africa, I document the raw presence of nature's biggest inhabitants. These are silent conversations with the largest creatures on earth.

A Greater One-horned Rhino walking down a misty forest path in Dudhwa National Park. The safari jeep in the distance provides a sense of scale, showing just how massive and impressive these animals are.

A truly special sighting of a Sloth Bear mother with her cubs riding on her back in Tadoba. Capturing this maternal behavior is a rare and precious moment, highlighting the strong family bonds in the animal kingdom.

A Silverback Gorilla at the Royal Melbourne Zoo. While I dream of seeing one in the wild, this image is a powerful reminder of the majesty of these primates and fuels my passion for conservation and seeing animals in their natural habitats.

A full-body shot of a Greater One-horned Rhino on the move in Dudhwa. You can really see the texture of its thick, armor-like skin and the sheer power in its stride.

A side profile of the same Greater One-horned Rhino, showing its prehistoric features. These animals are vulnerable, and every sighting is a reminder of the urgent need to protect them and their grassland homes.

That feeling when the weekend is over. This Greater One-horned Rhino in Dudhwa seems to be emerging into the world with a bit of a grumpy face, a mood I think we can all relate to on a Monday morning.

A Plains Zebra from a trip to Masai Mara, Kenya back in 2007. The golden light of the African savanna and the striking patterns of the zebra create a timeless and beautiful image.

An Indian Grey Wolf, an endangered species, standing alert on a path. Its intelligent eyes and lean build are perfectly adapted for its life as a pack hunter. Sightings like this are rare and incredibly special.

An endangered African Wild Dog, photographed in Africa. Their unique, painted coat patterns and large ears make them one of the most visually stunning predators. This photo supports conservation awareness for this incredible species.

A Striped Hyena emerges from the brush in the Bhigwan Grasslands. Often misunderstood, hyenas are intelligent and resourceful animals with a crucial role in the ecosystem.

About Giants of the Land

I never stress animals for a shot. Whether I am tracking a Greater One-horned Rhino in Dudhwa or observing sloth bears in Tadoba, the rule is simple: stay patient, stay quiet, and let the animal dictate the pace. I don't use bait or noise to get a reaction. What you see in these frames is authentic behavior captured exactly as it happened, preserving the animal's dignity while capturing their sheer scale.

Wildlife photography is less about chasing the action and more about becoming part of the landscape. When I am out with my 'bazooka' lens, the goal isn't just to get a picture; it is to witness a moment. Often, I will spend hours sitting in a jeep or trekking on foot, waiting for that one second when a rhino turns its head or a mother bear feels safe enough to let her cubs climb on her back.

My Ethical Approach

Conservation photography is the core of my work. I work closely with conservation groups, and I am very strict about my ethics. I won't move an animal, use playback calls to lure them, or block their path to get a better angle. If an animal is shy or clearly uncomfortable, I back away. My gear is designed for this—telephoto lenses allow me to get crisp, intimate shots from a distance that ensures the animal feels no pressure from my presence.

Biodiversity & Wildlife Surveys

Beyond the art, I provide field services for property owners and resorts. If you own a farmhouse or a property with a natural ecosystem, I can help you document the resident fauna. This includes a full site survey, identification of local species (from birds to reptiles), and a scientific report including their IUCN conservation status. It is about understanding the land you inhabit and the life it supports.
