There's nothing like the thrill of spotting a leopard through the dense foliage. This one was taking a drink, almost completely hidden. I waited for that perfect moment when it looked up, its eyes telling a story of the wild. This is what authentic, unstaged wildlife photography is all about.

The Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher is like a jewel of the forest. Capturing its vibrant colors, from the deep blues to the fiery orange, requires a fast lens and an even faster eye. This little bird is a testament to the incredible biodiversity I strive to document.

Pet photography is about capturing pure joy. This golden retriever was having the time of his life in his backyard. My sessions are always relaxed, allowing your pet's true, energetic personality to shine through, creating portraits that feel alive and full of happiness.

Peeking through the dense greenery of Dudhwa, this Greater One-horned Rhino appeared like an ancient guardian of the forest. Its vulnerable conservation status makes sightings like this even more profound. My goal is to capture the dignity of these giants.

Out on a safari, armed with my trusty "bazooka" lens. This is my happy place, where I feel most connected to the world. Being a wildlife photographer isn't just a job; it's about being part of the environment and waiting for its stories to unfold.

My Story

Hey, I’m Saloni. Forests feel like home to me, not just a backdrop for photos. I’m a photographer and, yeah, I talk to animals – telepathically! Sounds wild, but it’s real for me. Once, Bandhavgarh whispered hints before tigers showed up. Since 2007, I’ve followed Ranthambore’s queens and even wrote a book about Juhu’s birds. It’s all about connecting – tiger, sparrow, or even the city crow.
