The 'Skin Pehle' Philosophy: Achieving Flawless Makeup
I believe makeup looks its best only when your skin is healthy and prepped. My process begins with a dedicated CTM routine, ensuring your base is hydrated, smooth, and ready for long-wear application.
My makeup philosophy is 'Skin Pehle'. In this video, I demonstrate my CTM (Cleansing, Toning, Moisturizing) routine, which is the foundation of any great makeup look. Taking good care of your skin is *bahut zaroori hai*, and I show you how to choose the right products for your skin type to ensure your makeup looks fresh and lasts all day.
Understanding your skin is the first step to beautiful makeup. In this video, I explain the different skin types: dry, oily, combination, and normal. Knowing your skin helps you choose the right products and techniques for a look that stays flawless.
Here, I talk about why the CTM procedure is the most important part of both pre-makeup application and post-makeup removal. I explain how cleansing, toning, and moisturizing work together to hydrate your skin, maintain its pH balance, and give it a natural glow.
Here’s a little glimpse into my process. From prepping the skin to applying the final touches, I ensure every step is done with precision and care. You can see me here building the base with a beauty blender for a seamless finish and defining the features to create a polished, classic look for my client.
About My 'Skin Pehle' Philosophy: The Secret to Flawless Makeup
I spend 10 to 20 minutes on skin preparation before picking up a brush. By analyzing whether your skin needs a cream-based cleanser for dryness or a gel-based approach for oil control, I create a canvas that stays fresh, prevents product separation, and maintains a natural glow for hours.
My 'Skin Pehle' (Skin First) approach is built on the belief that makeup should enhance your features rather than mask them. This starts with a proper CTM procedure: cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. Many people skip these steps, but they are vital for balancing your skin's pH levels and creating the right texture for foundation.
Why CTM Matters
As we age, the natural keratinization process slows down, leading to dryness or pigmentation. Without proper hydration, foundation tends to settle into fine lines or look cakey by the end of the day. My routine involves identifying your specific skin condition—whether you have dry, oily, or combination skin—and selecting products that support your barrier.
The Process
For those with dry skin, I use cream-based cleansers and richer moisturizers to ensure the base remains supple. For clients with oily skin or active acne, I switch to gel-based formulas that hydrate without adding excess oil. After cleansing and balancing the skin with a toner to close pores, I apply a moisturizer tailored to your needs. This creates a sweat-resistant and tear-resistant canvas, essential for high-definition photography or long events in the NCR heat.
Whether you are visiting my studio in Sector 85, Gurugram, or booking me for an on-site service, this prep is standard for every client. My goal is to make you look good in photos, but feel even better in real life.
