Art does not need to stay on a vertical wall. Whether it is a ceiling that tells a story or a wardrobe that blooms into a meadow, I help you find new canvases in your home.

A digital mock-up of the "Mumbai meri jaan" abstract ceiling art. This 14-foot diameter piece is an abstract map of the city, with colors representing the sea, sky, and landmarks.

The ceiling mural in progress. The room is protected as we work overhead, slowly filling in the large, colorful shapes that represent the energy of Mumbai.

A video showing the process of creating the abstract Mumbai ceiling, from the initial grey base to the final vibrant artwork, complete with fiber optic stars.

A moment of joy with the finished "City of Dreams" ceiling mural. This piece was a true labor of love, capturing the spirit of Mumbai in abstract form.

A design for hand-painted wooden rafters, inspired by the geometric beauty of Arabic art. These patterns turn structural elements into canvases of culture and craft.

The finished hand-painted rafters installed on a deep red ceiling. The intricate geometric patterns add a layer of tradition and poetic detail to the room's architecture.

A full view of a wardrobe transformed by art. I painted a cascade of white wildflowers across the wooden doors, making the entire wall feel like a blooming meadow.

The process of painting white flowers on a wooden wardrobe. The white paint on the natural wood grain creates a beautiful contrast, highlighting both the art and the material.

A close-up of the finished wildflowers on the wardrobe doors. The overlapping petals and flowing branches create a sense of movement across the surface.

Another detail of the hand-painted wardrobe. The way the design flows across the separate door panels was carefully planned to create a single, cohesive artwork when closed.

About Beyond the Wall: Ceilings, Furniture & Found Objects

Painting a ceiling or a wardrobe requires more than just a brush; it is about respecting the surface physics. For ceilings, I use specialized industrial bonding agents and UV-resistant sealants to ensure the art remains vibrant against gravity, while my wood-based pieces are primed to let the natural grain harmonize with the paint rather than being hidden by it.

The Fifth Wall and Beyond

I have always felt that walls are only the beginning. When you look up, the ceiling is often just a white void, and your wardrobe doors are just utilitarian dividers. I treat these surfaces as my primary canvas.

My Approach to Different Surfaces

  • The Fifth Wall (Ceilings): Working on a ceiling is physically demanding and requires a shift in perspective. Whether it is a 14-foot abstract piece like my 'Mumbai meri jaan' project or subtle geometric patterns, I account for the room's lighting to ensure the art creates the right atmosphere.
  • Wooden Furniture: Painting on wood, like wardrobe shutters, is a delicate dance. I work with the texture of the material—be it veneer or polished wood—to ensure the paint adheres perfectly without losing the organic feel of the timber. My floral motifs are designed to flow across the doors, creating a cohesive image even when the panels are closed.
  • Structural Elements: From Arabic-inspired geometric patterns on wooden rafters to revitalizing structural beams, I turn the bones of a room into a focal point. It is about taking an architectural constraint and making it the highlight of the design.

Technical Care

Everything I paint is sealed to last. My ceiling work includes industrial bonding agents to prevent peeling, while my furniture pieces receive a durable finish that stands up to daily use. If you have a surface in your home that feels empty, we can likely turn it into a story.
