Master Advanced Photo Stylization & Lightroom Editing
Stop relying on basic filters. Learn to sculpt light, retouch skin, and build a professional editing workflow with manual techniques.
Discover how to use dodging and burning, a classic portrait editing technique, to sculpt light and create dramatic, stylized images. This is one of the key advanced methods I cover in my live workshops to help you make your work stand out.
About Advanced Stylization
You've likely seen those high-fashion portraits where the light just seems to pop and the skin looks flawless but real? That’s not a filter; that’s dodging and burning. In my workshops, we move away from generic presets. We take your raw files and manually sculpt the light, giving your subjects that clean, professional finish without losing the natural texture of their skin.
Editing is the second half of the storytelling process, and it’s where a lot of photographers get stuck. Most people think a preset will save a bad shot, but professional work comes down to how you handle the details.
Why manual editing matters
'Bhai, skin ke marks dikh rahe hai toh client ko accha nahi lagta' (if skin marks are visible, clients don’t like it). That is why I teach dodging and burning. It’s a classic technique that fashion photographers have used for years, and it works just as well in Lightroom Classic. It’s about brightening and darkening specific areas with a brush to add dimension.
What we cover in the workshop
- Lightroom Workflow: How to organize catalogs when you're dealing with 5,000+ raw files from a wedding.
- Retouching: Speeding up your blemish removal (we aim for under 30 seconds per face) and creating that signature 'pop'.
- AI Tools: How to use Generative Fill and other AI assistants to handle background extensions without spending hours on Photoshop.
- Exporting: Getting your settings right for Instagram compression versus high-res print albums.
We don't just talk theory. Whether you join me for the 2-day live bootcamp in Mumbai or a 1-on-1 mentorship session, we work on real files. You’ll leave with the ability to build your own custom presets rather than chasing someone else’s look. If you’re serious about your craft, let's get into the deep dive.
