Step into a world where divinity meets design. Our Noor-e-Ishq theme captures the mysticism of Sufi nights using soft ivory palettes, royal brass, and the lingering fragrance of mogra.

The entrance to the Sufi night featured a grand, multi-layered arch against a backdrop of intricate jaali screens. Hanging brass lanterns and floral details added to the Mughal-inspired aesthetic, creating a majestic first impression.

A personalized welcome sign for the 'Ishq Sufiyana' night, framed with lush white florals and glowing candles. The elegant script and mogra garland detail set a tone of bespoke luxury from the very beginning.

The dining tables were adorned with silver candelabras and arrangements of white roses and green chrysanthemums. This created a regal tablescape that was both elegant and inviting for the Sufi-themed dinner.

I designed intimate lounge areas with plush ivory sofas and mirrored gold tables. These spaces were surrounded by abundant white chrysanthemums, offering guests a comfortable and beautiful spot to soak in the ghazal music.

This video captures the ethereal ambiance of the Noor-e-Ishq theme, from the glowing candles and detailed floral arrangements to the grand seating under a canopy of draped fabric and chandeliers.

A detail shot showing a 'Noor-e-Ishq' card placed amidst candles, a traditional potli bag, and a floral arrangement of white roses and green pompoms. Every element was carefully chosen to reflect the theme.

Table centerpieces included vintage-style hand mirrors, pearl strings, and bouquets of white roses, all illuminated by the soft glow of candles. These details added a touch of old-world charm and femininity.

Another view of the tablescape, highlighting the textures of the sequined tablecloth, the warmth of the candles, and the lushness of the white floral arrangements, creating a rich sensory experience.

A mirrored table reflects a cascade of baby's breath and a bouquet of white chrysanthemums, creating a dreamy, layered look. Personal touches like a decorative box and scroll add to the storytelling.

About Noor-e-Ishq: A Sufi Soirée

I don't just set up lights and drapes for a Sufi theme; I focus heavily on the scent and sound experience. We place bowls of fresh mogra and tuberoses near the lounge areas so that as guests sit and listen to ghazals, the fragrance grounds them in the moment. It is the small, authentic details like hand-etched brass incense burners that make the Mughal aesthetic actually feel real.

When we build a Noor-e-Ishq setup, we look at the venue as a canvas for a story. Sufi nights need a specific mood—it is not about being loud; it is about being soulful. We use jaali screens not just for decoration but to create depth and shadow, allowing the warm glow of candlelight to filter through the space.

Why this theme works

  • The Palette: We stick to ivory, gold, and deep greens to maintain a regal, understated elegance that lets the music and conversation take center stage.
  • The Fragrance: We believe decor is a sensory experience. We layer the space with mogra, tuberose, and incense to transport your guests back to the Mughal era.
  • The Details: We include vintage-style hand mirrors, inscribed scrolls, and ornate boxes on every table. These aren't just props; they are conversation starters that add a layer of intimacy to the dinner.
