Robotics Competitions and Coding Challenges for Kids

Beyond the big Olympiads, our internal competitions are where students apply coding and engineering skills in real-time. Watch them solve complex missions, fix bugs, and build confidence in a fun, competitive environment.

A student tests his creation during our internal robotics competition. The challenge was to build and program an autonomous school bus to navigate a custom-designed mat.

Two students work on setting up the "schoolyard" area of the mat for our autonomous school bus competition. This internal event fosters creativity and practical problem-solving.

About this collection

In our recent autonomous school bus challenge, students didn't just build a model. They had to code sensors to navigate a complex route, picking up passengers and managing parking, all within strict time limits. It is this specific mix of pressure and play that turns a good student into a resilient problem-solver.

Internal challenges are the heartbeat of our learning process at ROBO-G. While national Olympiads are great goals, these smaller, custom-designed events provide immediate feedback loops for our students. In our 'autonomous school bus' challenge, for example, children could not rely on pre-programmed paths alone. They had to integrate color sensors for road detection and ultrasonic sensors to avoid obstacles, learning to debug their logic in real-time.

We believe that competition breeds creativity. By placing kids in teams of two or three, we mirror real-world engineering environments where collaboration is mandatory. Whether you are at our Jakkur facility or visiting our Whitefield center, the focus remains the same: iteration. A robot rarely works perfectly on the first try. Our challenges encourage kids to embrace that failure, tweak their code, and try again.

These events are open to our current students and are designed to build the confidence required for larger stages like the World Robot Olympiad or IRO. We use official mats and mission models to keep the experience professional but maintain a fun, supportive atmosphere where high-fives are just as important as high scores.

ROBO-G

Training Facility at Jakkur, North BengaluruStarting ₹16,500 Per Student Per Season (approx. 3 months)

We started ROBO-G in 2015 because we wanted to see more kids excited about what technology can actually do. We handle the technical setup and the mat design, but we love watching our students surprise us with their own solutions during our local challenges.
