LEGO Tinkering Classes for Kids: Hands-on Robotics

We help children aged 5+ turn screen time into creative building time. Through our LEGO tinkering workshops, kids construct working models like helicopters and swing sets, learning mechanical principles and problem-solving through play.

A kindergarten student from our summer camp sits with the functional LEGO swing set she built. This project helps young learners understand concepts of physics and structure in an intuitive, engaging way.

A first-grade student proudly holds up the LEGO helicopter he constructed during a Tinkering course session. Students learn to follow instructions and then innovate on their own designs, building confidence and creativity.

A young student from our Gurgaon center explains his LEGO creation, which uses a system of gears to power a fan. This hands-on activity is a core part of our STEM curriculum for early learners.

This parent testimonial speaks to the effectiveness of our Tinkering program for very young children. We recognized her son's aptitude with LEGO blocks and welcomed him into the program, where he excelled.

About Young Innovators: LEGO Tinkering (Ages 5+)

At the end of our two-week camp, we host a Demo Day where you can see your child explain the mechanics of their build—whether it's a gear-powered fan or a functioning swing set—directly to us and other parents.

Our Tinkering track serves as the foundational entry point for young learners. We move beyond simple play to introduce STEM concepts using LEGO Education kits. Throughout the 24-hour program, children work with gears, levers, and pulleys, gaining a practical understanding of how machines move and function.

We limit our batch sizes to a 1:8 teacher-student ratio. This ensures that every child, whether they are a complete beginner or already comfortable with LEGO, receives personalized attention from our facilitators. We focus on teaching children how to follow instructions to build standard models before encouraging them to innovate and modify their designs.

What your child will learn:

  • Mechanical Engineering Basics: Understanding how gears reduce or increase speed and how levers work.
  • Design Thinking: Moving from a visual guide to a functional, real-world model.
  • Confidence Building: Presenting their projects during our final Demo Day helps kids articulate their ideas.

Classes are held at our Sector 56, Gurgaon center, providing a dedicated space where kids can experiment without the pressure of school performance. This is where curiosity meets logic, setting the stage for more advanced robotics and Python coding in later years.

I'm the team at RoboGenius, and I believe technology is the language of the future. We run these workshops to ensure your child becomes a creator of technology, not just a consumer. We love seeing the excitement in a child's eyes when their first LEGO helicopter actually lifts off the ground.
