About Outdoor Family & Kids Portraits
Don't worry if your kids aren't the sitting-still type. I shoot strictly in natural light during the golden hour, which means we spend most of our time walking, playing, and laughing in parks. It is a 2-3 hour session designed to be flexible—if someone needs a snack break or an outfit change, we just take it. You get a set of high-resolution images that actually feel like your family, not a stiff studio portrait.
My Approach to Family Photography
Photography is about more than just getting everyone to look at the camera. When we shoot outdoors in Mumbai or Navi Mumbai, my goal is to document the way you actually interact. Whether it is a toddler exploring a garden path, grandparents watching on, or a quiet hug, these are the moments that matter.
What to Expect During Our Session
- Natural Light & Locations: I prefer shooting in public parks and gardens around the city. These spaces offer plenty of room for kids to run around and give us beautiful, soft natural light that makes your photos look bright and modern.
- The Pace: A typical Essential Outdoor Session lasts 2-3 hours. This isn't a rushed studio appointment; it is a relaxed time frame that allows your children to warm up to the camera and get comfortable.
- Wardrobe & Props: You are welcome to have up to 2 costume changes. I bring handheld props like bubbles, balloons, and chalkboards to keep the little ones engaged and smiling.
- Deliverables: Within 5-7 days of the shoot, you will receive 25-30 professionally retouched high-resolution JPEGs. I also share 100-150 unedited shots for you to pick your favorites from.
Tips for a Great Shoot
- Comfort is Key: Dress your family in outfits that are comfortable. If the kids are happy in their clothes, they will be much more relaxed in front of the lens.
- Timing: We will aim for the golden hour—either early morning or late afternoon—to get that soft, flattering light.
- Come As You Are: I do not believe in forcing poses. If your baby wants to sit on the grass or your toddler wants to point at a tree, we will follow their lead.
