About Handwoven & Hand-Embroidered Sarees
Every saree in this collection is a testament to slow production. Because we rely on manual looms and hand-needlework rather than high-speed machinery, the embroidery alone on a single piece can take over 12 hours. This is not just fabric; it is a commitment to the person who spent their day crafting it.
The Art of the Drape
When we talk about handloom, we mean fabrics with soul. Our collection spans the lightweight grid of Kota Doria, the rich sheen of Maheshwari cotton-silk, and the breathable comfort of mercerized cotton. We choose these materials because they move with you, aging gracefully the more they are worn.
Crafting the Details
What transforms a simple loom-woven fabric into a story is the human touch. Our artisans bring these pieces to life using:
- Chikankari: Delicate shadow work that highlights the texture of the fabric.
- Pakka & Soof Embroidery: Geometric, heritage-rich stitches from our desert clusters.
- Natural Dyeing: Indigo and madder roots that give our sarees their earthy, authentic tones.
Why Our Pricing is Honest
We do not chase the speed of mass production. We believe in paying ethical, fair wages for every hour an artisan spends at the embroidery hoop or the loom. When you look at the price tag, you are not paying for a brand label; you are paying for the skilled hands that ensure the mirror work is secure and the hem is finished with French seams.
Since we work in small, distinct batches, no two sarees are identical. If you see a piece that resonates with your personal style, please ask us about its specific weave or embroidery pattern. We are happy to help you find a drape that feels like your own.
