Divine & Deity Portraits in Bridal Mehendi
Bringing the divine to your hands. From Bal Krishna to Shiva-Parvati, I craft portraits that tell a sacred story for your special day.
This design is full of divine blessings. It features a large Ganesha portrait on one palm, a bride on the other, and portraits of Radha-Krishna and another goddess on the arms.
A divine design for a blessed union. The arms feature portraits of Lord Shiva and Guru Nanak Dev Ji, while the palms show the bride and groom during the wedding ceremony.
This bridal mehendi has portraits of the couple on the palms, with the divine couple Shiva and Parvati on the forearm, showering their blessings. The design is a mix of personal love and divine grace.
A powerful design featuring Lord Shiva and Parvati on one palm. The other hand has traditional peacock and elephant motifs, creating a beautiful balance between divine and traditional art.
This design is dedicated to Lord Krishna. One arm shows Shrinathji (a form of Krishna) and the other shows Radha and Krishna together. The cows and lotus flowers complete the divine theme.
A bridal design filled with auspicious symbols. It has a Ganesha portrait, dhol and shehnai for celebration, and bride and groom figures on the palms.
This is a very grand and royal bridal mehendi. It features Ganesha on one palm and the couple on the other, with scenes of a royal procession with elephants on the arms.
About this collection
A portrait design isn't just about the lines; it's about the shading and depth. When I draw Bal Krishna or Shiv-Parvati, I use 0.3mm tips and precise pressure to ensure the details pop. If you want a specific deity scene, we usually need to finalize the composition before the big day because this style requires more time and planning than standard floral patterns.
When you choose portrait mehendi, you are choosing more than just a pattern; you are etching a story onto your palms. Over the last 25 years, I have perfected the art of capturing deities—whether it is the mischievous play of Bal Krishna, the grace of Radha-Krishna, or the eternal bond of Shiva and Parvati.
This is not standard 'bel' work. It is a specialized service that requires a steady hand and a clear vision. Here is how we do it:
- Pre-Application Consultation: We discuss the deities or rituals you want. Whether it is a Janmashtami theme or a Karwa Chauth moon scene, we sketch the composition to ensure it fits the space on your hands perfectly.
- Technique: I use a specific mix of premium Rajasthani henna with essential oils like Nilgiri and Clove to get that deep, rich stain. For the portraits, I use varied pressure to create 3D shading—this gives the figures depth, making them look realistic against the traditional jail or floral background.
- Placement: Portraits are best placed on the center of the palm or the inner forearm where the skin accepts the stain best. We pair these with traditional motifs—peacocks, elephants, or palatial architecture—to tie the whole design together.
My team and I travel across Delhi NCR and beyond for these bookings. Because this is a high-fidelity art form that takes longer than standard bridal work, I prefer to execute these personally or with my lead senior artist. If you have a specific scene in mind, send me a message with your wedding date, and let us start planning your story.
