About this collection
For full-coverage, the secret is in the preparation and the flow of the application. I use ultra-fine 0.3mm tips to keep the dense Bharwa style looking crisp, not cluttered. When you book this style, we will talk about your layout preferences—like where to hide your partner’s initials or which specific rituals you want to feature in the forearm panels—so the design tells your story while staying deeply traditional.
The Bharwa Artistry
Full-coverage mehendi is where technique meets patience. My traditional Bharwa style covers the hand and forearm completely, leaving zero negative space. This look requires a steady hand and a deep understanding of composition so the design looks balanced, not crowded.
My Process
When I work on a full-coverage bridal piece, I build it in layers. We start with the core motifs—often a peacock, lotus, or architectural jharokha—and expand outward. I use a triple-sifted Rajasthani henna paste mixed with essential oils like clove and nilgiri. This not only gives you that deep, rich stain but also keeps the paste supple while I work on fine details.
Why Tradition Matters
Many brides ask for specific elements to be hidden in the pattern. Whether it is your wedding date, a Ganesh figure for good luck, or your partner's name, I weave these personal touches into the heavy floral and checkerboard patterns. The goal is a design that looks stunning from a distance but rewards close inspection with hidden details.
Getting the Best Stain
Since I travel across Delhi NCR and India for weddings, I always advise brides to plan the application well before the functions begin. Once applied, my lemon-sugar sealant spray helps the design set, but the real key to that dark, long-lasting color is avoiding water for the first 12-24 hours. If you are planning for a wedding season date, reach out early so we can discuss your outfit and how we can best complement it with your mehendi design.
Raju Mehendi
I am Raju, and after 25 years, I still get nervous before every bride’s big day. For me, these full-coverage designs are not just about covering skin; they are about layering traditions into a story that lasts long after the wedding ends.
