Behind the Scenes of My Mehendi Art

Mehendi is more than just a ceremony for me. It is 25 years of stories, portraits, and tradition. Here is a glimpse of how I bring your vision to life, from the first sketch to the final stain.

Here I am, in my element, applying a detailed floral design. My hands have been doing this for over 25 years, and every design is a new creation.

A client asked if I could finish in 15-20 minutes. For a simple design, my speed and precision come from years of practice. You can see me working on a traditional peacock motif here.

Another behind-the-scenes look at my process. Here, I am creating a portrait design for a client, using a photo on my phone as a reference to get the details just right.

A beautiful, happy moment from a mehendi ceremony. It is an honor to be a part of such special days in my clients' lives.

I was so honored to receive this award from WedMeGood. This is thanks to the love and support of all my brides over the last 20 years. This award is for you.

About this collection

When you see me working, you are not just watching a design being drawn—you are seeing 25 years of practice in action. I often use a reference photo on my phone to get the details of complex portraits or ritual scenes exactly right before applying the henna. Whether you need a heavy bridal piece or a quick festive design, I keep my lines clean and my pace steady so you can relax and enjoy the ceremony.

For me, the real work starts long before the bridal ceremony. It happens in the focus required to map out a portrait of Lord Ganesha or a wedding scene. Using a 0.3mm fine tip, I ensure that the flow of the design remains fluid, whether I am doing traditional Bharwa (full-coverage) work that requires zero negative space or a modern, airy Indo-Arabic trail.

My Approach to Your Story

I treat every bride as a superstar. My process involves a pre-application consultation where we decide on the motifs. Want a Bal Krishna for Janmashtami? A specific couple's portrait? I translate these onto your hands with a focus on shading and depth. I use premium organic Rajasthani henna mixed with essential oils like Nilgiri to ensure the stain is dark and rich—something I believe every bride deserves.

Why Practice Matters

I have spent over two decades working in the GK market and traveling across India. This experience has taught me two things: precision and patience. My speed comes from years of repetition, which is why I can maintain quality even during high-pressure wedding events or busy festive seasons like Karwa Chauth and Teej. If you want a specific design you saw in my gallery, or have an idea of your own, just tell me. I do not believe in templates; I believe in what suits your personality best.
